    Our thanks go to our beloved Uncle Jimmy , combat vet who defended our freedoms. We will all miss him, but George will miss their visits most. We ask for prayers for all of our family ,especially his children and grandchildren.

    Liz and Monty, we were so saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. Michael and he had many, many conversations concerning everything from gardening, farm land and animals. He was a fine southern gentleman and our community will surely miss him. Take comfort in knowing that others are keeping the family in their thoughts and prayers.

    The Ingram family lived across the street from my family in Victoria all my school-age years. Jimmy and Margie were frequently in our midst--often playing games with us. They are among cherished memories of that time and place. My sincere condolences to Monty and Elizabeth Leigh.

    Fran will miss her uncle Jimmy. I'm so glad he was able to stay in his home. He is at peace now in the arms of Jesus. Special thoughts and prayers to Elizabeth Leigh and Monty and their families.

    Although we will not be able to attend the service for Jimmie, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jimmie and Margie were always so much fun when we were kids visiting Granny and Paw, we would forget they were adults! Love to all of you and hope to see you soon.

    Julian M. Ingram, 93, of Victoria, passed away in his home on January 5, 2020.  He was preceded in death

    by his wife, Marjorie B. Ingram; sister, Virginia Austin; and special friend, Mildred Daniel.
     

    He is survived by his son, Bryant Montague “Monty” Ingram (Pan) of Richmond; daughter,

     Elizabeth “Liz” Tanksley (Don) of Victoria; grandchildren, Sarah Tanksley (Ramone),

    Janice Hooton (Jerry), Rachel Sarkar (Sujoy), Schuyler Ingram; and great grandchildren,

    Virginia, Rusty, Jane, Claire Ashley; sister Mary Francis Dirks of Richmond.   He is also survived my many nieces and nephews.

    The family wants to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Sandra Marshall and Missy Lawson,

    as well as the Centra Hospice staff who all helped ensure Jimmie was able to spend his last days in his home.

    Jimmie served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy.  He was retired from the Railroad.

     Jimmie enjoyed cattle farming, dogs, feeding wild turkeys, and ACC college sports,

    especially the University of Virginia.

    The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 6 to 8 at Staples Funeral Home,

    Victoria, Va.  A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria, VA on

    Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Victoria Rescue Squad or

     Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.
