Joel Alan Bentley, 67, of Victoria, VA , in his words,  “kicked the bucket”  on April 14, 2022. Joel was born November 6, 1954 to the late Frank and Pauline Bentley. Joel served 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. After leaving the Navy, Joel drove tractor trailers for 10 years along the entire east coast. Wanting to be closer to his family, he worked for Parker Oil, delivering fuel oil to local families. Joel was an avid eBay seller and collector of many things. He enjoyed laughing and joking with his family and friends. The Washington Redskins have lost their biggest fan. Joel was a dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Giacomina “Jackie” Bentley; daughter, Valerie (Greg); son, Jason; daughter, Melissa (Cody); daughter, Miranda; and 7 grandchildren. A Celebration of his Life will be held for family and friends at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the VFW Hall located at 1000 Marshall Avenue; Victoria, VA 23974.
