William Sherwood Irby, 74, of Lunenburg, Va. went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2017. He was the father of the late Debra Ann Ball. He is survived by his wife Carole S. Irby; four sons, William S. “Slink” Irby, Jr., John N. Irby, James E. Irby and Sam H. Irby; Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, in charge of arrangements.www.staplesfh.com10 grandchildren; sister, Myrtle V. Irby and brothers, Darrell Irby and Harry Irby. William was a former supervisor for Imperial Briquettes Corporation, an employee of Barnes Manufacturing and farmer. He loved the outdoors and hunting. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at 2PM.
