Virginia Jones “Granny” McDaniel, 90, of Crewe, VA passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. She was the daughter of  Jesse and Effie Jones of Victoria and the widow of William Desmond McDaniel. She is survived by her five children: Jeanette and Bobby Barton, Joyce and Ray Price, Doug and Rose McDaniel, Denise and Joe Flowers, and Donnie and Nancy McDaniel; eight grandchildren: Scott and Jason Lewis, Courtney O’Hara Daniel, Douglas and Andy McDaniel, Daniel and Matthew Houchins and Desi McDaniel; She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren: Noah, Baileigh, Colton and Spencer Lewis, Margaret and Genevieve Daniel, Sam and Mary Katherine McDaniel and Bentley and Bryson Jackson; her sister, Louise (Betty) Lindsey and numerous nieces and nephews. Her happiest times were spent with her family, working in her yard and going to her children and grandchildren’s ball games. She loved watching all sports on television and was a huge Nascar fan. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2PM at the Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria, VA.
