Dear Mr. Owens, I'm sending this note to say how sorry I am that your father has fallen asleep in death. Not long ago I had to endure the passing of my father too. So I have an idea of what your family might be experiencing. I was comforted by friends and given hope through the scriptures of how one day I will get to see Mom and Dad again. I was reminded of the time when Jesus resurrected his friend Lazarus who had been dead for 3 days showing mankind how he had the power to give life back to the dead. John 11:11-44 & 35,36. My prayers are with you and your family.

Richard H. Owens, 94, of Richmond , VA died January 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia “Lee Lee” Elmore Owens. He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Owens was a member of the South Hill Masonic Lodge # 297 A.F. & A.M. and American Legion Post 79. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Hope Christian Church Cemetery, Alberta.
