Marjorie was an outstanding teacher and also citizen of our town. The entire time I was mayor she was always concerned for other people and situations that would help someone else and not her. We need more people with the love and concern for our community like Marjorie Powers had. She will be missed by many people. Rest in peace I love you.

A special woman deserving of a long life. Margie was blessed with long life. She has so kindly loved and cared for so many along the way. Now, she leaves behind such beautiful memories to comfort those who were a part of her life's journey. May we look forward to the hope of continuing that journey with Margie when God's promises are fulfilled. Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:29 Condolences to all of Margie's loved ones.

We moved here in 2016 and I remember Margie being introduced to us. She would call in the evening and say "Linda, you and Paul haven't come seen me in a while.why don't ya'll come by for a visit this week?" I would say "We were just thinking the same thing! How about tomorrow afternoon?" (Or whatever worked out best for her.). Paul referred to her as the "Leader of the Blue Hair Mafia". He always said, Don't mess with Margie or Dot, or Margarette, or Suzanne.they'll make one phone call and there will be consequences!! 😂 We are so honored to have known such an amazing Matriarch of this community. She will be missed!!! ❤️
