I rode the school bus with all 4 of these boys! I will keep the family in my prayers! So very sorry for their loss!!

You will be missed by me, and the little Glendora Farms Longhorns.. I'm sure many will miss you. I didn't know you long, but the time I have you were awesome to me..♥️

Calvin Watson “Monk” “Whitey” Harris, Sr., 63, of Dundas, VA passed away July 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father Linwood Lewis Harris, Sr. and his brother Daniel Everett “Punk” Harris. He is survived by his wife of 43 years; Tamra E. “Tammy” Harris; their sons; Edward Harris (Sherri) and Calvin Harris, Jr. (Becky); five grandchildren, Regan, Raleigh, Ben,Wyatt and Charley; his mother Esther P. Harris; sister, Faye Davis (Johnny) brothers, Linwood “Bubba” Harris, Jr. (Angela) and Charles “Squeaky” Harris; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Monk was a member of Dundas Baptist Church and Stones Mill Hunt Club. He retired from VDOT after 32 years of service. He was an avid cook, outdoorsman and all around entertainer. His home was always open and he made sure you felt welcomed and were fed.

He was a true friend to his community and never turned down the opportunity to help others. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10am at the Dundas Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Kenbridge Fire Department, P.O. Box 556, Kenbridge, VA. 23944 or Lunenburg Health Services, P.O. Box 121, Victoria, VA 23974.
