Lawrence Alvin Ver Voort, 79, of Victoria, Va. died Feb. 17, 2018. He is survived by his wife Catherine Ver Voort; his daughters, Beulah Cody (Ward Green) and Amanda Lewis; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; faithful friends Heather Richards, Dolores Brown and MaCalla Epps. Mr. Ver Voort retired as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the Staples Funeral Home, Victoria.
