James Alfred Tuck, 91, of Victoria, Va. joined his wife Barbara in Heaven on August 16, 2020. He was the son of the late Donald H. Tuck and Edna Clark Tuck and brother of the late Donald “Dick”, Emmett and Alvin. He is survived by his daughter Kyna T. Otey (Vern) and his son James L. Tuck (Betsy); four grandchildren, Seth Otey (Jessi), Kyle Otey (Jessie), Katie Tyler and Dylan Tuck; two great-grandchildren; Andi Otey and Nora Otey; sisters, Marjorie T. Paynter (Fred) and Evelyn T. Harding (Morrell); sister-in-law, Evelyn Johnson and special friend Jean Gay; numerous nieces and nephews. James served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, retired as a conductor for Norfolk and Southern Railway and was a member and deacon of  the Victoria Baptist Church. He loved making friendships through cooking, gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a founding member of the Victoria Golf Course and Falls Hunt Club, a member of; the 635 Supper Club, Buckskin Hunt Club, VFW Post 9954 and American Legion Post 0147. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, from 4 to 8 at the home of Kyna and Vern Otey, 3724 Old Mansion Road, Lunenburg, Va. 23952. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11am in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.
