Frances Atkins Compton of Victoria, VA went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2022. She was the wife of the late Whitlow Compton and mother of the late Steven Shelton, Connie Shelton and Ronnie Atkins. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Smith (Bill) of Victoria, VA.; grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Trey Smith, Sammie Hungate, Stevie Hungate, Angie Woody, Renee Woody-Hair, Crystal Atkins, Shane Atkins and Lindsey A. Hayer;  numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Frances loved cooking, singing and being with family. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Tabernacle Church, 1031 Main Street, Kenbridge, VA where graveside services will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3PM.
