Elson Austin Powers, 86, of Dundas, Va. joined his family in Heaven on April 1, 2017. He was the son of the late Lynn T. Powers and Almeta E. Powers and brother to the late Tommy Lee Powers and Shirley Powers Hite. Elson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Moore Powers; he is “PaPa” to Hunter Hite and Chase Hite and the brother of Joyce Braddy. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of New Hope Christian Church, Danieltown. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 2, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge, where funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, at 1:00 PM Interment in Crestview Memorial Park, South Hill, Va.
