HANCOCK,
Alton Guy Hancock, 84, of Charlottesville, Va. and formerly of Danieltown, Va. died January 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents; Vincent Guy Hancock and Annie Daniel Hancock; step-mother, Annie H. Hancock; and  brothers, Earl Hancock and Billy Hancock. Alton was a retired lawyer who enjoyed conversing with all. He is survived by his son Alex Hancock and wife Marta of Charlottesville; daughter Julie Archer and her husband Thomas of California; five grandchildren, His brother Jimmy Hancock and wife Cora Mae of Danieltown, Va. and sister Dorothy Greenstreet and husband Bill of Huntersville, N.C, Graveside services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Dundas Baptist Church Cemtery, Dundas, Va.
