Lena Mae Lewis, 93, of Meherrin, Va. joined her husband, Walter Charles Lewis; great-grandson, Kevin Michael Ashworth, Jr, and daughter-in-law, June Carol Lewis in Heaven on Jan. 17, 2018. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Ramsey  (Danny) and Edith Reeve (Bernard); two sons, Thomas Lewis and James Ray Lewis (Peggy); five grandchildren, Susan Cottrell (Brian), Teresa Childers (Jay),  Stephanie Friis (Chris), Stella Ashworth (Kevin) and Douglas Taylor (Nichole); 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jack McCarter (Sue) and her sister, Creedy Smith. Mrs. Lena enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading and time spent with her family. The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 19, from 4 to 6 PM at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at 11AM in the Trinity Memorial Park, Rice, Va. In lieu of flowers Please consider donations to the Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O.
