I only knew him a short time, but he has a special place in my heart. Mr Hood was a wonderful make and heaven gained such a wonderful angel. Papa you earned your wings fly high

Our thoughts & prayers are with Glenn & his family during this difficult time. Mr. Hood was always a pleasure to talk with whenever visiting the shop. The community has lost a well respected gentleman. God Bless

We would like to express our sympathy and admiration for Mr. Hood and you, his family. He was an exemplary businessman, patron of the music culture and of the community of Faith. We thank you for maintaining his legacy in Southside Virginia.

Clifford Ray Hood, 85, of Lunenburg, Va. went to be with the Lord on Jan. 20, 2018. He was the husband of the late Augusta Seamster Hood and one of twelve children of the late Matthews Thorborn Hood and Lela H. Hood. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Karen Hood; grandsons, Brent Hood (Brittany) and Bryan Hood all of Lunenburg; sisters, Shirley Francis and Jeannette Tomlinson both of Victoria, Clifford and his brothers founded Hood Brothers Incorporated. Clifford was a highly respected mechanic. He served his country in the U. S. Army and was a former Elder/treasurer of Northside Gospel Chapel where funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at 2PM. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 1Pm until start of services and at all other times at the home of Glenn and Karen Hood, 1035 Hardy Road, Lunenburg, Va. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Northside Gospel Chapel, C/O Patrick Williams, 3206 Sheltons Rd, Drakes Branck, Va. 23937 Staples Funeral Home, Victoria in charge of services.
