I enjoyed knowing Christine while I was at Virginia Cooperative Extension. Christine was always a delight to be around and had a sweet spirit about her. I was very sad to hear of her death.

I worked with Christine during her time as a Program Assistant with VA Cooperative Extension. She was a very dear person and I enjoyed working with her. Christine had a strong spirit as that was very evident in her ability to come back from her automobile accident. She always wanted to do her best at her job and Christine loved those grand babies.

Christine (Chris) and I met over 27 years ago. Christine was a loving, caring, giving friend and I was blessed to have had her as a friend. You will forever be missed and loved. Love you

I had the privilege of working with Christine in the Family Nutrition Program, we were roommates at conference many times. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, so sorry for your loss. Christine is an amazing person. Her family is her heart, she lived for you and for making a positive impact everywhere she could. Bodies pass away, but love is eternal. If Heaven has an exercise class, Christine is leading it!

Christine has always been a lovely person. So much fun and always asking about my family. I enjoyed events with Christine and her family whom she loved dearly and has always been so proud of them all. We will miss your smile, laughter, and sunny personality.

Oh how I was saddened to hear this sad news of Christine's passing. I met Christine in Lawrenceville through the Cancer Resource Center, and invited her to speak To our employees about healthy eating & nutrition. She was a delight and had a beautiful glow about her. The last we communicated was after her accident. I had prayed for her healing 🙏. Prayers to her family. Cherish your memories ❤️

I only just learned of Christine's life after grade school through a FB post. I am praying for the family to inherit the peace of God that is w/o understanding.

Christine Sue Kimbrel, 49, of Victoria, Va joined her family in Heaven on June 29, 2020. She shared a daughter with her love the late Leonard G. Aurillo, daughter of the late Daniel F. Kimbrel, Jr. and granddaughter of the late Joseph E and Louise Brouillette. She is survived by her daughter, Alexia T. Evans (Neal); grandchildren, Abigail and Orion Evans; her parents, Janet K. and Rob Duvall; her sister, Lisa K. Sale (BC) and her Godmother, Mercedes Herman. In 1998, Christine was in a car accident where she suffered a traumatic brain injury. She had to learn to eat, walk, and talk again. She persevered through 11 surgeries and countless obstacles, all for her and her daughter. She earned her degree in Human Services from SVCC in 2008. She was a former Family Nutrition Program Assistant at Virginia Cooperative Extension Agency in Brunswick County, a former Nutrition Program Assistant at Va Tech, former pre-school teacher’s assistant at Steps, Inc Head Start and a former Deli Clerk/Quality and Assurance for Food Lion.

Christine was loved by so many, she had a kind soul and a contagious laugh, unless she was watching her New Orleans Saints play in which you would hear her screaming “Who Dat!” from blocks away. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, crafting, dancing, and visiting her hometown of New Orleans. But more than anything, she dearly loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 7PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge. In lieu of flowers please consider Memorial donations to the family to help with expenses.
