Elwood C. “Shorty” Cox, Sr., 89, of Victoria, VA went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2023. He was the husband of the late Louise Hagaman Cox and father of the late Elwood C. Cox, Jr. and Mary Frances Perkins. He  is survived by his children, Theresa C. Ryder, James L. Cox, and Katherine P. Distler; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Summer, Stevie,Christopher, Sara and John; 12 great-grandchildren. Elwood served our country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from Lea Industries as a master electrician. He enjoyed politics, gardening and playing solitaire. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.
