The VHS Class of '66 has lost its voice. Larry was such a great guy and will be so missed by all of his classmates. It's so hard when someone goes suddenly and unexpectedly like this. Rest in peace, my longtime good friend.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all. My family and I remember Larry well . My Mother lived with her brother, Roy Moore for years, who lived next door to Larry's parents. Larry was such a good man.

Larry's sudden passing has truly saddened me. He meant so much to so many, including my brothers and me. Over the years he kept in contact, sending me messages, jokes, pictures, funny animal videos, etc. These always brightened my day. Since his passing, I have been thinking of a quote that my Mother and Father both loved. It came from a book on Africa and was one of their favorites: "It is not easy to remember that in the fading light of day the shadows always point toward the dawn." ~Winston O. Abbott Larry was a bright, loyal, and caring person. He will always remain in my heart and in the hearts of all those he touched. I hope one day to see him and the others in our family in heaven. R.I.P., brave cousin

Sadden to learn of Larry's passing today with the return of a Christmas greeting. So many memories of our days together as he helped guide me from enlisted HM to a successful MSC officer. You will always fondly be remembered. Fair wind and following seas.

I met Larry when he was stationed at Cherry Point. There was an instant attraction & we spent some lovely times together. He was kind, funny, interesting to talk & laugh with. No matter where I was I could call Larry & know we were going to have a pleasant convo catching up on each other's lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart. RIP old friend.
