It saddened me to learn of Violet's passing. I will keep you, Brock, Aaron, and the rest of your family in my prayers. Your mom was a gracious and caring woman who always had a kind word when I or Peyton saw her. She will surely be missed. Keep your chin up and if you or the family need anything please let me know.

Dana and the rest of the family. I knew Violet in school but only socially. Then we worked together at Aileen and I got to know her better. She was a joy to be around. We had a lot of laughs together. I always got on her about coming out in the winter with her hair wet in the mornings...she would just laugh at me like I was being a mother hen. I know you will miss her...thinking about our times together brings a smile on my face..Joy in heaven!!! I am sad for your loss. God bless!

On this day she joined her brother, parents, and granddaughter in heaven or “Somewhere over the rainbow,” as quoted in her favorite movie, “The Wizard of Oz.” Violet Liles was born on January 4th, 1953, to Oliver Kenneth Epley and Eunice Wootton Epley.  She played an array of roles to the people in her life where she was: a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt and a caring friend to so many. She was very eclectic in her tastes and loved to collect numerous things like antiques and furniture. She used what she learned at VCU’s Interior Design School to boost her career and the experiences while in any of her homes. Violet was a very gifted businesswoman and was brilliant in communicating and understanding people. Her and her husband were owners of multiple mobile-home dealerships. Violet was the person you could request anything and she would find a way to get it done. She had a giving and generous soul even to up to the very end. Violet’s big heart always put the ones she loved before herself. As an avid traveler, her adventurous spirit explored four-continents with her friends and family by her side. She was very blessed to have enjoyed over 40-years with her soul-mate and devoted loving husband, Paul.

Violet is survived by: her husband Paul Liles, daughter Dana Bacon (Frank), sons Aaron Liles and Brock Liles, grandchildren Camille Bacon and Madilyn Owen, brother Ennis Epley (Brenda), nieces Dawn Gotwals and Stephanie Dysholm.
