    SFC. Louis Edward Anderson, Sr. 87, of Alberta, Va. went to be with the Lord on Aug. 17, 2021. He was the son of the late William Lynwood Anderson and Lucy Jane Allen Anderson and brother of the late, Emmette Davis, John Lynwood Anderson, William Malcom Anderson, Katherine A. Benthall and Merle A. Callis. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Lee Wilson Anderson; his son, Louis E. Anderson, Jr. (Patrice); three grandchildren, Virginia Nichole Garner (Ben), Sarah Lynwood Anderson and Louis E. Anderson, III; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicholas, Eric, Janie, Will and Creslyn. Louis retired from the Unites States Army as a Sergeant First Class and was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and hanging out with his dog Beauregard.The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 from 6:30 to 8PM at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge where the family will receive friends again on Friday August 20, 2021 from noon until time of services at 1PM. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone, Va. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Alberta Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 178, Alberta, Va. 23821.
