    I am so terribly sorry to learn of Doris's passing. I called Tommy right away and told him. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. What a fine, fine lady she was. Love to you all.

    Doris is a first cousin of mine; Doris always had a smile and laughter. She loved her family. Edward and family-please know of our thoughts and prayers for you all Katie Lee, Roy, Ann, Mildred, and Debbie--our thoughts and prayers are with each of you and we remember what a close family you all are.     Our deepest sympathy and prayers for your loss. Doris was a long time friend and such a loving and family person. If I, Ginny, needed an uplift or just a pick-me-up, I would call Doris and say laugh. She will be missed. Edward we have many good memories with you and Doris through the years.

    I am so deeply sorry and sad. Aunt Doris was such a genuinely kind and giving person. Her loss will impact so many people. I am praying for the family and hopeful her many smiling memories will help heal so many broken hearts. Love Sharon

    Doris Huff Thompson, 76, of Kenbridge, Va. passed away on Thursday,  June 13, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife and is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward Thompson: devoted mother to two sons, Dale Thompson (Connie) and Danny Thompson (Lanna); two loving granddaughters, Brandi Watson (Dustin) and Brooke Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Brendan and Gage;
    her brother, Roy Huff (Rachel); and sisters, Katie Snead, Janet Hamby (Hugh), Ann DeShazo, Mildred Snowa and Debra Sitler (Ralph). Doris was retired from the Facility Engineers at Fort Pickett. She was a faithful member of Kenbridge Baptist Church. She will be remembered by her warm smile and her beautiful laugher. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge, Virginia. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Kenbridge Heights Cemetery with Rev. John Carey officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Kenbridge Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 445, Kenbridge, Virginia 23944 or Friends of the Ripberger Library, P. O. Box 45, Kenbridge, Virginia 23944.
